Of COURSE Rush Limbaugh Would Have to Be Awful Read more:

Oh, friends, get ready to feel all the fury in the world, because Rush Limbaugh, one of the world's biggest and most classical douchebags, has just weighed in on the death of Robin Williams. And, as you can probably imagine, it's terrible, offensive, insensitive, and basically every other flavor of "wrong" that's ever existed.

See, Rush is suggesting that Robin Williams committed suicide because of -- wait for it -- liberal political beliefs:

"He had everything, everything that you would think would make you happy. But it didn't. Now, what is the left's worldview in general? What is it? If you had to attach not a philosophy but an attitude to a leftist worldview, it's one of pessimism and darkness, sadness. They're never happy, are they? They're always angry about something. No matter what they get, they're always angry."

    For real, politics:

"He had it all, but he had nothing. He made everybody else laugh but was miserable inside. I mean, it fits a certain picture, or a certain image that the left has. Talk about low expectations and general unhappiness and so forth."

And then he mentioned some other Fox News story about how Robin had "survivor's guilt" that friends of his had died in the past:

"He could never get over the guilt that they died and he didn't. Well, that is a constant measurement that is made by political leftists in judging the country. It's outcome-based education: 2 + 2 = 5. That's fine until the student learns it's 4. We're not gonna humiliate the student by pointing out that he's wrong. If he figures it out, cool. We're gonna take the fast learners and we're gonna slow them down so that they don't humiliate the kids that don't learn as fast as they do.  It's just not fair."

What a miserable person Rush Limbaugh must be to feel the need to make this tragedy about political views, to say that Robin was depressed because of his political party. And the thing is, Robin wasn't even that public with those views. Instead of spending time debating issues, he spent his time helping people: he did several USO tours and, by many accounts, was so supportive and loving to our troops, and he did so much work for St. Jude, Comic Relief ... we'll probably never fully know how much charity work he did, because he didn't publicize it. He did it because he was generous and kind and a lovely human being, unlike Rush Limbaugh.

Here's a tip: if you're going to say anything negative about Robin Williams or anyone who's ever been in Robin's position, just don't.
